Mom’s Morning Out

The Details

  • Vision

My education philosophy recognizes that each child is made in the image of God, uniquely created and naturally curious. My mission is to nurture that curiosity through play-based learning, outdoor exploration, social-emotional development, dedicated study of God's Word through storytelling, and lots of singing and dancing!

  • Curriculum

I believe preschoolers learn best through play, not just worksheets. That's why for our program, I've selected Busy Toddler’s “Playing Preschool: Volume 2”. If you are interested in purchasing this curriculum to use at home on the days we don't meet, I definitely encourage it! I will be sharing what we are learning and when, so you can easily follow along with your child.

For our time learning about God, we will be using elements from God’s Big Story. Their website explains, “The curriculum is rooted in the incredible truth that God has come to rescue his children...through his Son Jesus Christ. It explores the biblical narrative...through liturgy, song, scripture memory, story presentation, wondering questions...prayer, and many reflective and creative responses.”

I have personally used both of these curriculums in different settings and truly love them. In addition to these resources, we will also spend a good amount of time outdoors, enjoying and exploring God’s creation.
